About SCYNEXIS

SCYNEXIS (NASDAQ:SCYX) is a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing medicines for fungal infections. The company’s lead product is BREXAFEMME (ibrexafungerp), an oral, non-azole antifungal approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis and for reducing the incidence of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis in adult and postmenarchal adolescent females.

Ibrexafungerp is a triterpenoid antifungal that works by inhibiting glucan synthase, an enzyme required for the formation of fungal cell walls. SCYNEXIS has also investigated the medicine for other serious fungal infections, including invasive candidiasis and certain infections caused by drug-resistant fungi. The company’s development strategy has centered on addressing unmet needs where existing antifungal therapies may be limited by resistance, tolerability, drug interactions, or routes of administration.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, SCYNEXIS serves the U.S. market through its commercial activities and has pursued partnerships and regulatory development opportunities internationally. The company’s operations are primarily focused on advancing and supporting ibrexafungerp and related antifungal research.
