About Kodiak Sciences

Kodiak Sciences (NASDAQ:KOD) (NASDAQ: KOD) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing medicines for serious retinal diseases. The company’s research is centered on its Antibody Biopolymer Conjugate (ABC) platform, which is designed to combine antibody-based therapies with biopolymer technology to potentially extend the duration of treatment in the eye.

Kodiak’s lead programs have focused on ophthalmic diseases involving abnormal blood-vessel growth or leakage, including wet age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and retinal vein occlusion. Its principal investigational product, KSI-301, is an anti-VEGF-A therapy designed for longer-lasting activity than conventional treatments. Kodiak has also researched KSI-501, a potential dual-action therapy intended to target both VEGF-A and inflammatory pathways implicated in retinal disease.

Founded in 2009, Kodiak has conducted clinical development activities in the United States and other international markets. The company is led by Victor Perlroth, M.D., who co-founded Kodiak and has served as its chief executive officer. Kodiak’s development programs remain focused on addressing the treatment burden associated with frequent intraocular injections for patients with retinal disorders.
