About onsemi

onsemi (NASDAQ:ON) is a global supplier of semiconductor components and related solutions, focused on intelligent power and sensing technologies. The company designs, manufactures, and sells a broad portfolio that includes power and analog devices, discrete components, sensors, and custom mixed-signal products used to manage, convert, and sense electrical power and signals across a wide range of electronic systems.

onsemi serves customers in key end markets such as automotive and industrial, as well as cloud power and communications, with additional exposure to consumer and computing applications. Its products are deployed by original equipment manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers for functions including power management, motor control, battery charging, sensing, and connectivity. The company supports its global customer base through design centers, manufacturing sites, and sales offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

The business traces its roots to 1999, when Motorola spun off its Semiconductor Components Group as ON Semiconductor. The company later expanded its scale and capabilities through organic development and acquisitions, including the 2016 acquisition of Fairchild Semiconductor. In 2021, ON Semiconductor rebranded and began operating under the onsemi name, while ON Semiconductor Corporation remains its legal registrant name.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, onsemi has positioned its portfolio to address long-term industry trends such as vehicle electrification, energy efficiency, and the expanding role of sensors in automation and safety systems. Hassane El-Khoury has served as president and chief executive officer since 2020.
