Lynas’ primary resource is the Mt Weld rare earths mine in Western Australia, which is regarded as one of the world’s significant rare earth deposits. Ore from Mt Weld is concentrated at the company’s nearby Mt Weld Concentration Plant and processed at its Kalgoorlie Rare Earths Processing Facility. The company produces rare earth products including neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), mixed rare earth carbonate and other separated materials.

The company also operates a rare earths separation facility in Gebeng, Malaysia, serving customers in Asia and other international markets. Lynas has pursued additional processing capacity outside China, including projects in the United States, as part of its strategy to support a more geographically diverse rare earths supply chain. The business was formerly known as Lynas Corporation before adopting the Lynas Rare Earths name.
