Crocs NASDAQ: CROX reported third-quarter 2026 revenue growth across both its Crocs and HEYDUDE brands, supported by international demand, product diversification and stronger wholesale results. The company raised its full-year revenue and adjusted earnings outlook after reporting enterprise revenue of more than $1 billion, up 5% year over year on a constant-currency basis.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Rees said the quarter represented an “important inflection” for HEYDUDE, whose revenue rose 6% following prior periods of declines. Crocs brand revenue increased 4%, producing what Rees described as a record third quarter for the brand.
“As we stated at the beginning of the year, returning to growth for both brands is a strategic goal we set out to achieve,” Rees said. “As a result, we are raising our full year 2026 revenue guidance from up 1%-2% to up approximately 3%.”
Revenue Growth Led by International Crocs and HEYDUDE Wholesale
The Crocs brand generated $873 million in third-quarter revenue, up 4% from a year earlier. International revenue increased approximately 12%, with growth across all of the company’s tier-one international markets. International direct-to-consumer revenue climbed 24%, supported by growth across marketplaces, retail stores and Crocs’ own website.
North American Crocs revenue declined about 2%, partly due to a planned business-model shift that moved certain activity from direct-to-consumer to wholesale. Chief Financial Officer Patraic Reagan said the change reduced North American DTC growth by about 270 basis points during the quarter. Excluding that shift, North American DTC revenue would have increased roughly 2%, according to Reagan.
The company expects the business-model transition to create a 700- to 800-basis-point headwind for North American DTC growth over the next several quarters, until the comparison is anniversaryed in the third quarter of next year. Reagan said the shift does not affect units in the marketplace or market share and is intended to create a more efficient and profitable model.
HEYDUDE revenue totaled $170 million, up 6% and ahead of management’s expectations. Wholesale revenue increased 14%, driven by higher at-once and replenishment orders, while DTC revenue rose slightly despite a planned reduction in promotional activity.
Rees said the company believes HEYDUDE’s shorter-term normalized growth rate is in the low- to mid-single digits after accounting for last year’s marketplace inventory cleanup. He also said the company sees long-term opportunity to expand the brand in underpenetrated U.S. regions and internationally, though international activity remains a smaller, measured investment.
Margins Expand as Cost Savings and Tariffs Help Results
Enterprise adjusted gross margin increased 180 basis points year over year to 60.3%. The improvement reflected cost-savings efforts, lower tariffs and margin expansion at both brands, partly offset by the planned mix shift toward diversified products.
Crocs brand adjusted gross margin rose 160 basis points to 63.4%, while HEYDUDE’s adjusted gross margin increased 350 basis points to 45.8%. Reagan cited lower tariffs, improved average selling prices and product mix for HEYDUDE’s margin improvement.
The company said adjusted gross margin excludes $64 million in tariff refunds received during the quarter. Adjusted selling, general and administrative expenses rose 6% to $397 million, reflecting investments in DTC growth initiatives that were partly offset by cost savings.
Adjusted operating margin expanded 150 basis points to 22.3%. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 26% year over year to $3.69, exceeding the company’s prior guidance range of $3.20 to $3.30. The non-GAAP effective tax rate was 17%.
Product Expansion and Digital Commerce Remain Central Strategies
Management highlighted Crocs’ efforts to broaden its product offering beyond the Classic Clog. Rees cited continued momentum in the Crafted, Crocband, Mellow and Echo clog franchises, as well as double-digit growth in sandals led by the Miami and Saturday franchises. The company also pointed to consumer response to the Ballet Flat and plans to test lined versions in Asia.
For HEYDUDE, the company said its core Wally and Wendy silhouettes remain central to the product range, while sandals, work footwear, boots and seasonal slippers are providing additional growth opportunities. The company said HEYDUDE’s sandals business exceeded expectations during the quarter.
Crocs also emphasized social commerce and digital engagement. The company retained its number-one footwear brand ranking on TikTok Shop in the U.S., U.K. and Japan, and added Malaysia during the quarter. It also launched Rivet, a proprietary artificial intelligence-powered shopping agent on its website.
In international markets, Rees identified China, India and Japan as major contributors to growth. In China, Crocs launched an Echo 2.0 marketing campaign featuring Olympic table tennis gold medalist Fan Zhendong, which the company said generated 40 billion impressions in Asia.
Capital Returns and Updated Outlook
Crocs ended the quarter with more than $163 million in cash and cash equivalents and about $890 million in revolver borrowing capacity. Inventory was $413 million, up 4% year over year, while enterprise inventory turns exceeded the company’s annualized goal of four times.
During the quarter, the company repurchased about 2 million shares for $250 million and paid down $21 million of debt. Net leverage ended at the low end of the company’s target range of 1x to 1.5x.
