What are analysts saying about Methanex stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Methanex stock:
- Jefferies Group LLC analysts commented, "A peak in Chinese coal prices, likely headwinds for olefins in 2018-2019, and risks to methanol pricing appear to have dampened investor sentiment. Methanex shares could prove resilient, nonetheless, given robust cash generation (11% average FCF yield before dividends through 2020E, even with prices pulling back 20%), potential buybacks, and opportunities to bring on capacity faster, and at much lower average cost, than peers." (2/21/2017)
According to Zacks Investment Research, "Methanex swung to a loss in the third quarter of 2016. However, loss per share was lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Revenues fell year over year in the quarter, but beat expectations. Methanex should gain from healthy demand fundamentals for methanol. We are also optimistic about its Louisiana project, which is expected to create significant value for shareholders and meaningfully contribute to cash generation. The company also remains committed to boost shareholder returns." (12/6/2016)
