Venture Global’s operating and development portfolio is concentrated along the U.S. Gulf Coast. Its Calcasieu Pass LNG facility in Louisiana has entered commercial operations, while its Plaquemines LNG project in Louisiana is being developed and brought into service. The company also has additional proposed projects, including CP2 LNG, intended to expand its export capabilities.

Venture Global was founded in 2013. The company is led by co-founder Mike Sabel, who serves as chief executive officer, and co-founder Robert Pender, who serves as executive chairman. Its LNG is marketed to customers in Europe, Asia and other global energy markets under long-term and other commercial supply arrangements.
