The company’s portfolio includes activated carbon products used in vehicle evaporative-emissions control systems, industrial air and water purification, and other filtration applications. Ingevity also produces specialty chemicals derived in part from renewable raw materials, including materials used in adhesives, coatings, pavement and asphalt technologies, agricultural chemicals and other formulated products.

Ingevity is headquartered in North Charleston, South Carolina, and serves customers in the United States and international markets. The company was formed in 2016 through the spin-off of the specialty chemicals business of WestRock, which combined operations formerly associated with MeadWestvaco. Its products are manufactured and marketed through facilities and commercial operations serving customers globally.
