The Company's investment objective is to provide a secure, convenient, low-cost, exchange tradable investment alternative for investors interested in holding an investment in gold and silver bullion for long-term appreciation. Part of Central Fund's net assets consist of long-term holdings of gold and silver bullion in bar form. At least 90% of Central Fund's net assets shall consist of gold and silver bullion in bar and certificate form. A nominal portion of Central Fund's net assets may be invested in marketable securities related to the gold and silver markets and industries. Generally, at the time it invests in gold and silver bullion, Central Fund intends that no more than 10% of its net assets shall be cash assets.
