Lynas Rare Earths Limited is an Australia-based producer of separated rare earth materials. The company operates across the rare earths supply chain, from mining and concentrating ore to processing and separation, supplying materials used in electric vehicles, renewable energy equipment, electronics, industrial applications and other advanced technologies.

Lynas mines ore at its Mount Weld operation in Western Australia and produces a rare earth concentrate at its nearby concentration plant. The concentrate is processed at the company’s cracking and leaching facility in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and at its advanced materials plant in Gebeng, Malaysia. These operations produce materials including neodymium-praseodymium, mixed heavy rare earths, cerium and lanthanum products.

Founded in Australia in 1983 and formerly known as Lynas Corporation, the company changed its name to Lynas Rare Earths Limited in 2021. Lynas supplies customers internationally and has pursued additional processing capacity outside China, including plans for a rare earths processing facility in the United States. Amanda Lacaze has served as the company’s chief executive officer and managing director since 2014.
