Mazahir Alimohamed Analyst Performance

Mazahir (Mazi) Alimohamed is an Executive Director and Senior Analyst covering Biotechnology. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Mazi was on the biotechnology equity research team at Leerink Partners. He also previously served as a practicing cardiologist and Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where his work focused on cardiovascular disease, including advanced cardiac imaging and genetics-driven cardiovascular conditions. He has also served as a key opinion leader and Medical Director for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac amyloidosis programs. Mazi brings a differentiated perspective through his combined experience in clinical medicine and capital markets, with a focus on evaluating clinical data, trial design, and the commercial potential of novel therapeutics. He earned his MD from the University of South Carolina and completed additional clinical training in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Cardiac Imaging.
