Alexander Paris Analyst Performance

Alex Paris joined Barrington Research in 1987 within the Equity Research group, and currently serves as President and Senior Managing Director. He is also a portfolio manager at Barrington Asset Management, serving on its Investment Committee. His research focus is within the Consumer Services sector, specializing in niches that primarily include education and other miscellaneous growth consumer goods & services (along with a few select business service companies). Mr. Paris has over 25 years experience in the investment industry, and has received numerous accolades for his investment performance. He is a five-time winner of The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst survey, a two-time winner of Forbes’ “All-Star Analyst” rankings, Smart Money Magazine named him one of its “Hot Analysts,” and StarMine Corp. ranked him fourth in a recent survey of over 3,500 analysts (regardless of industry coverage) for his stock-picking abilities. He has also been prominently featured in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Investor’s Business Daily, The New York Times, Crain’s Chicago Business, Business Week and The Chicago Tribune, as well as many other local, regional, and national publications. Mr. Paris holds a BS in Economics from Northern Illinois University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
