About GE Aerospace

General Electric Company (GE), doing business as GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE), is a global aerospace and defense technology company that specializes in designing, developing, and producing commercial and military aircraft engines, integrated engine components, electric power systems, and mechanical aircraft systems. The company also offers aftermarket services, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), as well as the sale of spare parts.

GE Aerospace operates through two main segments. The Commercial Engines and Services segment supports jet engines for commercial airframes, business aviation, and aeroderivative applications. The Defense and Propulsion Technologies segment provides engines, avionics, and power systems for government and military customers, along with a broad range of products including turboprop engines, aeroengine transmissions, combustors, propeller systems, and additive manufacturing components for both fixed-wing and rotorcraft platforms.

Incorporated in 1892 as Edison General Electric and later renamed GE, the company has long been a leader in industrial and technological innovation, playing a key role in the development of RCA, NBC, gas turbines, and early computing. GE was a founding member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and remained part of it for 122 years.

Headquartered in Evendale, Ohio, GE Aerospace has a global presence across the United States, Europe, China, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa.

As of 2024, GE has completed its transition to a focused aerospace enterprise following the spin-offs of GE HealthCare and GE Vernova. Today, GE Aerospace continues to advance technological innovation in aviation while supporting global sustainability goals, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050.
