Hilltop (NYSE:HTH) is a Dallas, Texas-based financial services holding company that provides banking, mortgage lending and securities services through its subsidiaries. The company primarily serves individuals, businesses, government entities and institutional clients, with operations focused largely on the United States and particularly the Texas market.

PlainsCapital Bank, Hilltop’s banking subsidiary, offers commercial and consumer banking products, including loans, deposit accounts, treasury management and other financial services. The bank operates through branches and financial centers in Texas and serves businesses, professionals and individuals.

Hilltop’s other major businesses include PrimeLending, a residential mortgage lender that originates home loans through a network of retail offices and loan officers, and HilltopSecurities, a broker-dealer providing investment banking, public finance, institutional sales and trading, municipal advisory and other capital-markets services. HilltopSecurities works with public-sector entities, corporations, financial institutions and individual investors.

Hilltop traces its history to 1998 and has expanded through the development and acquisition of businesses in banking, mortgage lending and securities. The company is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Jeremy B. Ford.
