About Altria Group

Altria Group (NYSE:MO) is a U.S.-based holding company focused primarily on tobacco and nicotine products. Through its operating companies, Altria manufactures and markets cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, oral nicotine products and electronic cigarettes. Its portfolio includes well-known brands such as Marlboro cigarettes, Copenhagen and Skoal smokeless tobacco, Black & Mild cigars, NJOY e-cigarettes and on! nicotine pouches.

Altria’s principal businesses include Philip Morris USA, the largest U.S. cigarette company; U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company; John Middleton, a manufacturer of large and little cigars; Helix Innovations, which makes oral nicotine products; and NJOY, its electronic-cigarette business. The company’s products are sold primarily in the United States through retail and other distribution channels.

The company traces its history to Philip Morris Companies, which became Altria Group in 2003. Altria later separated its international tobacco operations, which became Philip Morris International, and spun off its former food businesses, including Kraft Foods. Today, Altria concentrates on the U.S. tobacco and nicotine market and is guided by a board of directors and executive management team responsible for its portfolio of operating companies and regulated-product strategy.
