The company operates research, manufacturing and commercial facilities worldwide and distributes its medicines through healthcare systems, pharmacies and other channels.

David A. Ricks serves as Eli Lilly's chairman and chief executive officer. Under his leadership, the company has emphasized pharmaceutical research and expanded its focus on metabolic, oncology, immunology and neuroscience treatments.
