Vulcan Materials (NYSE:VMC) (NYSE:VMC) is a major producer and supplier of construction materials in the United States. The company primarily produces and distributes construction aggregates, including crushed stone, sand and gravel, which are used in infrastructure, commercial, residential and industrial projects.

In addition to aggregates, Vulcan produces asphalt mix and ready-mixed concrete and provides related construction-material services. Its products support highways, bridges, airports, buildings and other essential infrastructure. The company serves customers through a network of quarries, distribution facilities and production sites across the United States.

Vulcan traces its origins to 1909, when it was established as Birmingham Slag Company in Birmingham, Alabama. The company adopted the Vulcan Materials name in 1956 and remains headquartered in Birmingham. Its operations and leadership are focused on expanding and supplying the construction-material resources needed for long-term infrastructure and development projects.
