3 Oil Stocks Retail Investors Are Watching As Energy Prices Climb
The end may be near for these iconic stocks
Marc Chaikin, founder of Chaikin Analytics, says two forces - AI disruption and fracturing global trade - are triggering a historic wealth transfer already underway in 2026. Household names like Intuit (-57%), Boston Scientific (-49%), and Tractor Supply (-40%) are cratering, while lesser-known companies like Sandisk (+573%) and Rackspace (+444%) surge. Chaikin has identified specific stocks he believes investors should sell before they fall further - and the names may surprise you. He's also pinpointing a company tapped as Nvidia's self-driving partner and a potential AI megadeal that could split into three high-growth stocks. About Diamondback Energy

Diamondback Energy (NASDAQ:FANG) is an independent oil and natural gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas. The company focuses primarily on the acquisition, development, exploration and production of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin of West Texas and southeastern New Mexico.

Diamondback’s operations are concentrated in the Midland and Delaware sub-basins, where it develops properties using horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing. Its production includes crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Through its ownership interest in Viper Energy, the company also holds mineral and royalty interests in properties across the Permian Basin, providing exposure to production by other operators.

Founded in 2007, Diamondback Energy became a publicly traded company in 2012. The company has expanded through organic development, acquisitions and strategic transactions, including its combination with Endeavor Energy Resources, a major privately held Permian Basin operator. Travis D. Stice has served as Diamondback Energy’s chief executive officer and has been a key leader in the company’s growth.
