About ENI

ENI (NYSE:E) S.p.A. is an integrated energy company headquartered in Rome, Italy, founded in 1953 as a state-established hydrocarbon entity and later transformed into a publicly traded multinational. The firm’s activities span the full hydrocarbon value chain and extend into power generation and low‑carbon energy solutions. ENI maintains a long history in exploration and production, engineering and project development, and downstream operations that include refining, petrochemicals and retail fuel distribution.

Core businesses include upstream exploration and production of oil and natural gas, midstream and liquefied natural gas (LNG) handling, and downstream refining and marketing of petroleum products and lubricants. The company also participates in petrochemical manufacturing, power generation and energy trading. In recent years ENI has expanded its portfolio to include renewables, biofuels, hydrogen projects, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and other decarbonization initiatives as part of a broader energy transition strategy. It operates an international network of service stations and offers commercial and industrial energy solutions in addition to commodity trading and shipping services.

ENI operates globally, with a significant presence across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Asia and Australia through both operated and non‑operated oil and gas concessions, joint ventures and partnerships. The company is governed by a board of directors and an executive management team based in Rome and is publicly listed in Italy with American Depositary Receipts available on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker E. ENI’s strategic focus combines traditional hydrocarbon operations with investments in low‑carbon technologies and infrastructure to address evolving energy demand and regulatory trends worldwide.
