About Canadian Pacific Kansas City

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (NYSE:CP) (CPKC) is a North American Class I freight railroad formed through the combination of Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern. The merged company operates an integrated rail network that spans Canada, the United States and Mexico, providing a single-line rail connection across all three countries. This transborder footprint is intended to streamline cross-border freight flows and provide shippers with direct rail access from Canadian and U.S. production centers to Mexican markets and ports.

CPKC’s core business is freight transportation and related logistics services. The company moves a broad mix of commodities and goods, including intermodal containers, automotive parts and finished vehicles, agricultural products, energy and bulk commodities, chemicals and other industrial merchandise. In addition to rail haulage, CPKC offers network planning and terminal services that support supply chain operations, including connections to ports, distribution centers and other carriers to facilitate long-haul and last-mile deliveries.

The modern CPKC organization was established following regulatory approvals and the close of the merger in 2023. The combined company leverages the operating experience and infrastructure of its predecessor railroads to pursue efficiencies and expanded market access across North America. CPKC is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Creel and is publicly traded under the ticker CP. The company’s strategic focus centers on providing reliable, cross-border rail service that helps manufacturers, retailers and commodity producers move goods across the continent.
