About Granite Construction

Granite Construction (NYSE:GVA) Inc. is a publicly traded heavy civil contractor and construction materials producer based in Watsonville, California. The company specializes in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects for government and private clients, focusing on the development, rehabilitation and maintenance of transportation, water resource and industrial facilities. Its turnkey solutions span the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and design-build to construction management and facilities maintenance.

In its construction segment, Granite undertakes highway and bridge building, airport runway and taxiway construction, marine terminal and port improvements, dam and reservoir projects, transit systems and underground utilities. Complementing these services, the company’s materials division produces and supplies aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete and cement, supporting both internal construction operations and third-party customers across multiple states.

With roots dating back to 1922, Granite has grown from a regional earthworks contractor into a multi-regional infrastructure firm. While headquartered on California’s Central Coast, the company maintains a network of operating offices and production facilities throughout the Western United States, the Southwest, the Pacific Northwest, Texas and the Southeast. This geographic footprint enables Granite to serve federal, state and local agencies, as well as private developers, on both urban and rural projects.

Granite Construction is led by Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer James H. Roberts, under whose stewardship the company has pursued strategic growth in public-private partnerships and sustainable construction practices. The firm’s management team emphasizes safety, quality and innovation to meet evolving transportation and water management needs in the markets it serves.
