CarMax (KMX) to Post Quarterly Earnings on Tuesday
The next convergence is here
In 2006, a flooded mine at Cigar Lake sent uranium prices from the 50 range to 136 in eight months. About CarMax

CarMax (NYSE:KMX) is a specialty retailer of used vehicles and one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States. The company sells a broad selection of used cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles through its retail locations and online platform. CarMax also purchases vehicles from consumers and other sources, providing customers with a streamlined alternative to traditional private-party sales.

In addition to retail sales, CarMax operates wholesale vehicle auctions for vehicles that do not meet its retail standards or business requirements. The company offers financing through CarMax Auto Finance and works with third-party lenders, while its service offerings include vehicle protection products and automotive repair and maintenance services.

CarMax was founded in 1993 as a used-car retail concept developed by Circuit City and became an independent, publicly traded company in 2002. The company serves customers throughout the United States through a combination of physical dealerships, inventory distribution and digital purchasing tools, including online vehicle research, appraisal and transaction capabilities.
