Company Overview

Credicorp Ltd. (NYSE: BAP) is a Peru-based financial services holding company whose businesses provide banking, insurance, investment management and pension services. Its principal subsidiary is Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP), one of Peru’s largest banks, which serves individual, business and corporate customers through deposits, lending, payments, treasury and other financial products.

Credicorp also operates Mibanco, a financial institution focused on microfinance and small businesses, and Pacífico Seguros, which offers life, health, property and casualty insurance. Through its investment and wealth-management businesses, including Credicorp Capital and Prima AFP, the group provides capital-markets, investment-banking, asset-management and private-pension services.

The group’s operations are centered in Peru, with selected financial and capital-markets activities serving clients elsewhere in Latin America. Credicorp traces its roots to Banco de Crédito del Perú, established in 1889, and was formed as a holding company in 1995. The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Gianfranco Ferrari, while Dionisio Romero Paoletti serves as chairman of the board.
