Company Overview

Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. is a Mexican media and telecommunications company headquartered in Mexico City. Its principal operating businesses include izzi, which provides broadband internet, pay television, fixed-line telephone and related telecommunications services, and SKY México, a subscription-based satellite television provider. The company serves residential and business customers primarily in Mexico.

Televisa was formed in 1973 through the merger of Telesistema Mexicano and Televisión Independiente de México. Through its investment in TelevisaUnivision, Grupo Televisa maintains exposure to Spanish-language media serving audiences in Mexico, the United States and other international markets. The company is led by Executive Chairman Alfonso de Angoitia and Executive Vice Chairman Bernardo Gómez, who have held prominent leadership roles in Televisa’s corporate and media operations.
