The company also has midstream operations through its relationship with MPLX Inc., a publicly traded master limited partnership sponsored by Marathon Petroleum. MPLX owns and operates pipelines, storage facilities, terminals and other infrastructure that supports the gathering, processing, transportation and storage of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids.
