Its portfolio includes aircraft engines, avionics, flight-control systems, cabin interiors, communications equipment, air and missile defense systems, precision weapons, radars and advanced sensors.

The company operates through three principal businesses: Collins Aerospace, which supplies aerospace systems and components; Pratt & Whitney, which designs and produces aircraft engines and related services; and Raytheon, which provides defense and intelligence technologies. RTX serves customers in the United States and international markets, including airlines, aircraft manufacturers, commercial and business aviation operators, and defense agencies.

RTX was formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and United Technologies Corporation, while United Technologies’ aerospace businesses were separated into the new company. The organization retained the Raytheon name for its defense business and adopted the RTX corporate identity in 2023. Christopher T. Calio serves as president and chief executive officer.
