Rocket Lab USA, Inc. is a space and launch company that provides launch services, spacecraft, satellite components and other space systems for commercial, civil and national-security customers. The company designs and manufactures many of its products in-house, supporting missions from initial spacecraft development through launch and on-orbit operations.

Rocket Lab’s primary launch vehicle is Electron, a small-lift rocket designed to place satellites into low Earth orbit. The company also operates the HASTE suborbital test platform for hypersonic and other advanced aerospace technologies and is developing Neutron, a larger reusable rocket intended to serve commercial and government missions. Its space systems business produces spacecraft platforms, flight software, avionics, separation systems, solar power products and other satellite subsystems. Rocket Lab also develops and operates Photon spacecraft for customer missions.

Founded in 2006 by Peter Beck, Rocket Lab began in New Zealand and has expanded its operations internationally. The company conducts Electron launches from facilities in New Zealand and the United States, including its launch complex at Wallops Island, Virginia, and supplies space products to customers in the commercial, civil-government and defense sectors. Peter Beck serves as the company’s chief executive officer and remains closely involved in its engineering and product development activities.
