Cigna Healthcare serves employers, organizations and individuals through commercial health plans, medical benefits and related products, with operations and customers in the United States and selected international markets.

The company traces its history to the Insurance Company of North America, founded in 1792, and has operated under the Cigna name since 1982 following the merger of Connecticut General Life Insurance Company and INA Corporation.
