CVR Energy operates refineries in Coffeyville, Kansas, and Wynnewood, Oklahoma. The facilities primarily serve customers in the Midcontinent region of the United States and are supported by related logistics and distribution assets. The company also owns a majority interest in CVR Partners, LP, which produces nitrogen fertilizers, including ammonia and urea ammonium nitrate, at facilities in Coffeyville, Kansas, and East Dubuque, Illinois.

CVR Energy traces its corporate history to the refining and fertilizer businesses that were assembled under the CVR platform and became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2007. Icahn Enterprises L.P. became the company’s controlling stockholder in 2012. CVR Energy is led by Chief Executive Officer David L. Lamp.
