The company operates through two principal business segments: Aerial Work Platforms and Materials Processing.

Through its Genie brand, Terex produces aerial work platforms and related equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers and vertical mast lifts. Its Materials Processing segment supplies machinery used to crush, screen, wash, convey and process materials, along with equipment for recycling, wood processing and environmental applications. Key brands include Terex, Powerscreen, Finlay, EvoQuip, MPS, Ecotec, CBI and Terex Washing Systems.

Terex sells its products through a network of dealers and directly to customers in markets around the world, serving equipment rental companies, contractors, municipalities, utilities and aggregate producers. The company traces its name to General Motors’ off-highway equipment operations, which adopted the Terex name in the late 1960s. Simon Meester has served as Terex’s president and chief executive officer since 2023.
