What are analysts saying about Webster Financial Corporation stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Webster Financial Corporation stock:
FBR & Co analysts commented, "We reiterate our Market Perform rating and $54 price target, equal to 20.4x our 2018 EPS estimate, on Webster Financial following 4Q16 results. Revenues looked okay this quarter, but expenses from continued Boston expansion efforts, the HSA business, and share-based compensation costs led to a slight miss. We continue to view Webster as a solid bank and acknowledge potential HSA tailwinds from healthcare policy reform; however, we remain on the sidelines given relative valuation and weaker near-term profitability given continued investment." According to Zacks Investment Research, "WEBSTER FINANCIAL CORP. is a multiple bank holding company which, thru its subsidiary, is engaged primarily in the business attracting deposits from the general public and investing these funds in loans for the purchase, construction or refinancing of one-to-four family homes.
