iShares S & P Latin America 40 Index Fund, formerly iShares Latin America 40 ETF (the Fund), is an exchange-traded fund (ETF). The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P Latin America 40 (the Index). The Index consists of selected equities trading on the exchanges of five Latin American countries. The Index includes securities that Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC, a subsidiary of The McGraw-Hill Companies (S&P). Companies from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru are represented in the Index. Components primarily include consumer staples, financial and materials companies. The Fund generally invests at least 90% of its assets in securities of the Index and in depositary receipts representing securities of the Index. BlackRock Fund Advisors is the Fund's investment adviser.
