About Methanex

Methanex (NASDAQ:MEOH) (NASDAQ:MEOH) is a global producer and supplier of methanol, a basic chemical used in the manufacture of formaldehyde, acetic acid, plastics, paints, adhesives, solvents and other products. Methanol is also used in fuel applications, including as a blending component and as a feedstock for the production of other fuels and chemicals.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Methanex operates an international production and distribution network. Its manufacturing facilities and operations have included locations in Canada, Chile, Egypt, New Zealand, Trinidad and the United States, while its products are marketed and delivered to customers in major chemical and industrial markets worldwide.

The company also manages methanol transportation and logistics through its Waterfront Shipping subsidiary, which operates a fleet of chemical tankers, including vessels designed to use methanol as a marine fuel. Methanex’s business is focused on producing, distributing and marketing methanol on a global scale.
