About MP Materials

MP Materials (NYSE:MP) is a rare earth materials company that owns and operates the Mountain Pass Rare Earth Mine and processing facility in California. The site produces rare earth concentrate, with a focus on neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), materials used in high-strength permanent magnets.

The company is expanding its operations beyond mining and concentrate production by developing domestic capabilities to separate rare earth elements and manufacture neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets. These products support applications such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, robotics, consumer electronics, and other advanced technologies.

MP Materials serves customers in the United States and international markets through the production and sale of rare earth materials. The company has pursued a vertically integrated supply chain intended to reduce reliance on overseas processing and manufacturing.

The company was formed through the acquisition of the Mountain Pass assets in 2017 and became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2020 through a business combination. MP Materials is led by Chief Executive Officer and Chairman James Litinsky.
