In 2022, Grupo Televisa combined substantially all of its content and media assets with Univision Holdings to create TelevisaUnivision, a Spanish-language media and entertainment company. Grupo Televisa retains an economic interest in TelevisaUnivision while continuing to operate its telecommunications businesses in Mexico.

Grupo Televisa traces its origins to the formation of Telesistema Mexicano in 1955 and adopted the Televisa name in 1973. Its services and programming have historically reached audiences across Mexico and Spanish-speaking markets internationally.
