Through Busey Wealth Management, the company also provides investment management, financial planning, private banking and fiduciary services. Its payments subsidiary, FirsTech, provides electronic payment processing and related technology solutions.

The company traces its banking history to 1868 and serves customers through banking operations primarily in Illinois, as well as selected markets in Indiana, Missouri and Florida. First Busey is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Van A. Dukeman, who also serves as president and CEO of Busey Bank.
