The company’s lighting portfolio includes indoor and outdoor fixtures, lighting controls, and related components. Its intelligent-spaces products and software support building automation, location-aware applications, occupancy monitoring and other connected-building functions. Acuity sells products under several established brands, including Lithonia Lighting, Holophane, Peerless and Gotham.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Acuity serves customers primarily in North America and also operates in selected international markets. The company was established in 2001 following the separation of the lighting business from National Service Industries. Neil Ashe serves as Acuity’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.
