John Pancari Analyst Performance

John Pancari is a senior managing director and senior research analyst covering the regional banks and specialty finance sectors. He has been ranked in the top 3 of the Institutional Investor (now Extel) All-America Research survey since 2017, most recently achieving a No. 1 spot in the midcap banks sector and a runner-up position in the consumer finance category for 2024. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Pancari was a senior vice president and lead equity research analyst at Macquarie (and Fox-Pitt, Kelton) covering U.S. mid- and small-cap banks. He previously spent 11 years at JPMorgan, five of which were as an executive director and senior analyst covering 25 small-cap banks. Also at JPMorgan, Mr. Pancari covered large-cap banks as a senior associate and spent two years as a financial analyst supporting the U.S. equity sales and trading business. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bear Stearns as a financial analyst in the analysis and control group supporting the CFO. Mr. Pancari graduated from Rider University with a B.S. in finance and accounting.
