What are analysts saying about Charter Communications stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Charter Communications stock:
- Guggenheim analysts commented, "We are raising our price target on Charter shares to $360 from our previous $305. Our Buy thesis continues to reflect our confidence in Charter's ability to grow its broadband and video market share as it completes its digital upgrade and rebranding cycles and rolls out its Spectrum Guide user interface. In addition, we believe Charter's systems have significant strategic value should the video, broadband and wireless industries further consolidate." (2/13/2017)
According to Zacks Investment Research, "Shares of Charter Communications have outshined the Zacks classified ‘Cable TV’ industry’s gain over the past three months. Moreover, the merger with Time Warner Cable and Brighthouse Networks, have strengthened its foothold in hybrid fiber coax (HFC) and fiber networks. This should also help Charter Communications better address small, medium-sized and large businesses. The company has also forayed into wireless telecom service. However, Charter Communications operates in a saturated multi-channel U.S. video market. Moreover, the company faces competition from online video streaming services as they provide an extremely cheap source of TV programming. Meanwhile, the company has a leveraged balance sheet."
