What are analysts saying about Motorola Solutions stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Motorola Solutions stock:
According to Zacks Investment Research, "Shares of Motorola Solutions have outperformed the broader industry in the past one year. Ushering in further good news, the company reported better-than-expected earnings as well as revenues in the fourth quarter of 2016. The company also displayed year-over-year improvement on both these counts. Lower costs and an increase in sales aided results. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2017 earnings has improved significantly following the upbeat results. The company's strategy of growing through mergers and acquisitions is impressive. The acquisition of Spillman Technologies has significantly expanded its product portfolio. We are impressed by Motorola’s efforts to reward investors through dividend payments and buybacks. However, we remain concerned about the company's exposure to foreign exchange movements due to its global operations." (2/8/2017)
- Jefferies Group LLC analysts commented, "Motorola Solutions printed strong Q4 results and gave a solid outlook for 2017. We continue to think this is a well-run business with an excellent management team. At relatively full valuation levels, we think the stock's risk/reward remains balanced however." (2/3/2017)
- BMO Capital Markets analysts commented, "MSI reported solid December results, with higher revenue and gross margins helping offset one-time items in opex for in-line operating income. EPS was better in the quarter on lower taxes and interest, but March guidance missed our expectations. Nevertheless, we are encouraged by the record-high backlog, which should drive management visibility. The FirstNet announcement is on the horizon and should provide further growth to the earnings power we model for 2018. Our 2017 EPS estimates go to $5.19 from $5.29 and we are establishing our 2018 EPS estimates of $5.92." (2/3/2017)
Credit Suisse Group analysts commented, "We reiterate our Outperform rating and maintain our TP of $80." (8/5/2016)
